Kinda bummy.....
This was my first mp3 and I really liked it at first until it started freezing on me. One time I charged it all morning and unplugged it several hours later. I tried to turn it on but it wouldn't work. It has done this a lot! The battery life isn't too bad but sometimes right after you charge it, it goes dead. Kinda wierd...But besides that, it's very simple to use. It's really bulky and heavy. I got it instead of the ipod because of the price. I wish I had just spent the extra money and gotten one. If you're not sure on what to buy, I would suggest an ipod. They're more reliable plus there are more accessories for an ipod.
No support for Zune products
DON'T BUY ANY ZUNE/MICROSOFT PRODUCT!! I'm still looking at a blank Zune screen and a worthless device because Microsoft refuses to admit there is a problem with Zune as of 12/31/08. Don't trust Microsoft, and don't buy Zune unless you just want to throw your money away!! I've never been a Mac person, but now it's time to change!
ZUNE FROZEN
I bought this zune some time ago. It was working fine until Dec. 31 - Until now I would have given a 4 star - The fix that Microsoft put out didn't work. now I have a 0 brick.
BE VERY CAREFUL about buying a 30 gig at this point - there is no guarantee it will ever work.
One year, 4 days and KAPUT!
My wife bought me this Zune for Christmas 2007. I enjoyed the heck out of it for the entire year, then today, it froze up. It won't let me reset it, nothing.
I attempted to contact Microsoft Support (HA!) and was told that my warranty expired 4 days ago. Now they want to charge me 9 to fix my 0 Zune.
So, we'll be buying a new, different MP3 player and NOT another Zune. What kind of piece of crap breaks 4 days past the warranty expiration? MICROSOFT!! Thieves!

seems that microsoft made a serious booboo and now all 30gb zunes are freezing on the load screen with no ability to do anything. this includes even turning it off.
no idea yet if this is some elaborate hoax or what but seems this is the proverbial Y2K for the zune 30g. this indeed suxxors but i have to smile at this as it's so silly-ridiculous.
