Customer Reviews

Finally gave up waiting for my 3G to break...
I exceeded the capacity of my 20 gig 3G a couple of years ago (BTW I quit using iTunes store years ago & have been buying content strictly from Amazon--VERY happy re this). I replaced the battery twice & even dropped it in a stream (fully under water for ~15-20 seconds, I pried open the case & got out a hair dryer) but it kept on churning out songs. After 5 years of being a very happy iPod user, and, having the most ancient iPod on the block, I bit the bullet and bought a new 120 Classic.

By far the most difficult piece of this was getting my iTunes directory cleaned up and getting cover art on every album (thanks Amazon).

Love the skip counts. Love being able to keep all my holiday music & classical music but NOT having Horowitz follow the Chili Peppers while I'm skiing (Option>skip when shuffling). I have run, show skied, and biked with a hard drive based player for 5 years and I have never had a skip or a burp.

I considered a nano but 16 gigs not enough and who wants to take a computer on vacation. If you do that they will make you work.

K.I.S = Keep It Simple
The IPOD classic is a great device. I currently have the 80G Ipod I purchased almost 2 years ago. Everyone around me is getting the IPOD touch and claiming how HOTT it is. I will agree that it is very savvy but I like to keep it simple. I don't use my IPOD to go online, look at photos or play games with. If I were 16, that might be ok but I am a little out of that range. I picked up the 120G IPOD for music and occasional videos. If I am in the airport, I might want to look at a video to pass the time but mainly, I just listen to music. I like the fact that if I want to look at a video, I can especially on the 2.5 inch screen. (thus me not picking the Nano). It comes in two colors, silver or black. That depends on you, again, I am not a teenager so, a red or lime green device being pulled from my briefcase at work is not my idea of professional. Both colors are simple and all in all, the classic does the job. I listen to music and all I need is a device that allows me to do just that. If you are trying to decide if you should get a 120G classic, I say go for it if you want straight music. But if you want bells & whistles, the touch might be more your speed. YMMV...NEOSOUL06

classic ipod 120 gb
received today, spent 6 hours trying to get iTues to load into computer. Error message keeps coming us saying that QuickTime did not initialize, error 2096. Spoke to apple rep in India, spent over an hour on the phone with them, no luck. Will be returning tomorrow morning. Peter.

One reason to buy iPod Classic 120GB, Genius playlists!
I have been using "anything but iPod" mp3 players for years, started with early Rio players, first disk based player was Rio Karma (still works, a great player!), moved on to Rio Carbon, a Creative Zen 30GB, then bought a few Zunes (30GB and 80GB), even a Sansa Clip 4GB on Black Friday.

I always steered clear of iPods and iTunes. What changed my mind? iTunes 8 and the Genius feature! I have a powerful Mac desktop at work, loaded all my MP3's into iTunes (over 95GB of music), when iTunes 8 was released in Sept. 08, everything changed.

The Genius feature in iTunes 8 automatically makes a playlist by choosing a single song. So far, the playlists have been amazing. Since I have complete albums in my collection (not popular cuts), it is reasonable that I'm not familiar with every song in my collection. The iTunes Genius playlist feature consistently brings up songs that are excellent, but I wasn't familiar with or hadn't listened to in years.

After playing with the Genius playlist feature in iTunes, I wanted this capability on my MP3 player. Only way to get it was buy the latest iPod Classic 120GB. Versions from last year (80GB and 160GB) don't and won't support the Genius feature on the iPod.

OK Apple, you win, I bought the iPod Classic 120GB. Haven't regretted it a minute. Now I can make Genius playlists on the fly directly on my iPod.

If you have a lot of music and want to make the most of in on a portable MP3 player, get the iPod Classic 120GB. Been using it over a month now, still finding "new" music in my collection.

Genius feature is Pure Genius! Kudos to Apple and its development team.

This is the best iPod value. Period.
There are plenty of positive, honest reviews about this unit and they are all dead-on. The newer iPod Touch models are sweet if you are in to the "Wow Factor", but for the practical audiophile, this is THE iPOD to own.

The screen produces rich colors and sharp images, the sound is terrific and the thin profile makes my original 20 GB iPod look and feel like a brick. The screen size is no issue. While I was in the hospital recovering from major surgery, I watched hours of movies that literally saved me from boredom.

Bottom line for the Classic: A high price-performance ratio and the best iPod value.

Then when I was scrolling through the menu and started to play with the radio feature, it froze up on me again. Then when I tried to put some music on it, it froze up a 3rd time and was not being recognized by my computer (all this in a matter of the first 20 minutes of using it!!!!).

Don't bother with this MP3 player. Would rather pay for the songs with all the trouble we had on that site finding songs.
Besides all that. Love it.

Just didn't work...
I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and I was super excited when I received it. I wrapped it up and finally gave it to him, and it wouldn't work. We only got a white screen so we charged it overnight and tried again with no luck. When it finally loaded the screen, as we moved through the menu, the image would shake and warp. We tried resetting it but that didn't help. I'm extremely disappointed with the product and have returned it for a refund. I won't purchase another Coby MP3 player any time soon.

It's does the job well
I received this mp3 player for christmas and I instantly fell in love with the features. Customer Reviews

Had to return 2 of them to Amazon...
Bought it... recieved it... locked up and wouldn't respond... sent it back... got another... recieved it... locked up and wouldn't respond... sent it back... for a refund.

Long story short... I ended up upgrading and buying the Zune 16. I just figured that the 16 GB hard drives wouldn't act up like the 8 GB hard drives. Turns out I was right. I love the Zune 16. I really don't have anything against the Zunes, except that the Zune 8's kept locking up. Go for the Zune 16 if you are having the same issues as me. Just released a new update with some more games. Keeps me busy in the down time.

Much Better Than I Expected
Benefits versus an iPod:
* Add music to an on-the-fly "Now Playing" list on the Zune itself. The iPod unit does not have the ability to build a now-playing list on the fly. You have to make the playlists in iTunes and sync to the unit. This a great feature if you're out and want to build a quick playlist to listen to.
* Wireless Sync. I really like not having to plug in.
* Background Image. The iPod menu is just plain white. My Zune can have any image I want in the background.
* "Resume" feature on PodCasts. This is my absolute favorite feature. If I'm listening to a Podcast on my Zune and have to pause it, I can quickly sync to my computer and continue listening to it on my PC at the exact point I left off. The Resume feature works across multiple Podcasts and Syncs between the PC and the unit itself. This is a HUGE plus for me because I tend to listen to lots and lots of Podcasts.
* The Zune Software monitors user-defined folders for new media whereas iTunes only knows what you manually add to its collection.
* The FM receiver works, though I'm not exactly sure how much I'll use this.

Cons:
* Automatic Playlists are not near as robust as iTunes. This is a simple fix that Microsoft will hopefully be addressing (can you hear me MS$)?
* Podcasts cannot be added to a Playlist (manually or automatically)
* On the Zune Unit, PodCasts cannot be added to a "Now Playing List". Oddly, you can add Podcasts to "Now Playing" in the Zune 3.0 PC software, though I can't find where that list can be viewed in the software.
* The Zune Marketplace is not near as robust as the iTunes Store. However, if you don't plan on purchasing a lot of music through the Zune Marketplace it's not a problem. Personally, I try to buy my MP3's through Amazon.com.
* Cover Flow on the iPod is very slick. The Zune has a similar browsing feature, but it's not near as nice as Cover Flow.
* MP3 Tag Editing in the Zune Software is not near as powerful as it is in iTunes. iTunes has features like "Grouping" and "Disc x of x", Notes, multiple images, etc. None of these exist in the Zune Software.

I purchased the Zune because I wasn't necessarily happy with the iPods. My wife has an 80GB iPod Classic and my son has an 8GB Nano. The Classic is great because it has our entire music collection, various videos, all of our family pictures, and other stuff. But, it's a bit heavy and has a Hard Drive that will eventually fail. The Nano is nice because it's small and slick. But for me, I needed something with more "control". The Zune is my first real MP3 player since the very very early days in the technology. Since then I've been using my Palm Pilot TX as an MP3 player along with all the other features the Palm supports.

Also, I gave this a 4 out of 5 because the first unit I received was DOA. On the plus side, Amazon.com replaced the unit for free in 3 days - over the Christmas holiday to boot.

A digital media player for Generation iPod
It seems that, since the iPod really caught on, modern media players have gone for style over substance, and the Zune is no exception. I have had no interest in the iPod or Zune, but then I heard about the Zune Marketplace, which is an 'all you can eat' sort of music 'rental' service. I've known about it for awhile, but they just started giving out 10 free tracks a month for a monthly fee. Ok, I kind of like the idea of a service like this, and with the 10 monthly free tracks, I decided to pull the trigger. The only problem is that if I want to take music from the Zune Marketplace on the go, I would need a Zune for that. Now, I knew the Zune was going to suck, but I thought I would at least be able to tolerate it so I could have ZM tunes on the road. I was wrong.

So, what exactly is wrong with the Zune? Geez, it's hard to even know where to begin. In many ways, the iAudio players that I own (U2/G3) blow the Zune out of the water, and those are over 4 years old. The Zune lacks many features found in these older players.. tools for audiobooks (such as bookmarking/track skipping disable), voice recording, line in EQ, support for OGG format, etc are nowhere to be found on the Zune. While the iAudios had a very easy to deal with joystick navigation system, the Zune has a touch pad which is just a nightmare to deal with. Many times I ended up skipping to the next/previous track when I meant to adjust the volume. Plus, I would end up selecting the wrong item in a menu because the touch pad is so sensitive. At least they give you the option of disabling it, but you've still only got the one huge button, so selecting items can still be a chore.

And then there's the software. It seems that in the past several years, both Microsoft and Apple have been in a race with each other to see who can write and even worse media player than what Real Networks managed to come up with. And I think the Zune software has the edge in this category. While iTunes is certainly horrible, the Zune software brings the suckage to a whole new level. First of all, when you try to install it, it says you have to go to Windows Update and update your machine. WTF? This is software for a MEDIA PLAYER, so why is this even needed? Besides, I'm already running service pack 3. Anyway, there's a download on the MS website where you can get the entire package in one executable, which is over 300MB. In case anybody missed that part, I'll say it again... the entire package is **** OVER 300MB!!!!! **** FOR A MEDIA PLAYER!?!?!?!?! If anybody at Microsoft is reading this, please get in contact with me, because I would like you to FedEx me whatever it is that you guys are smoking in Redmond. Once you get this beast up and running, you will see that it consumes nearly 100MB just to do nothing but play an mp3! I think the worst part of this is, when I want to transfer files to the Zune, why do I need this bloated piece of s*** of an application to do what amounts to a simple drag and drop operation? With the iAudios, when you plug them in, they just show up as a drive letter and you can drag files over to them like a USB thumb drive. Apparently though, this is just too complex for people to handle, so device makers have introduced monstrosities such as iTunes and the Zune software. But for the love of all that is holy... if you need the hand-holding that a program like the Zune software provides, check out a media manager that doesn't suck, such as MediaMonkey. It's a shame that a handful of developers can create a much better piece of software in this category than a billion dollar corporation. It's just too bad that software like this is not OPTIONAL for these modern players, as it should be.

And last but not least, the Zune software/hardware forces you to organize your music by artist/album/genre. This is alright for most people, but the newer iAudio players ALSO give you the option to organize your music by FOLDERS, but the Zune software (and all of its ilk, such as the iPod) take this decision out of the hands of the end user. And it sucks too, because when you put a bunch of music you own on the player, and then add a bunch of music from the Zune Marketplace to sample, how are you supposed to seperate them? On your hard drive, it puts all of the ZM music in a folder called 'Subscriptions', which would be really handy to be able to pull up on the player. But nope!!!

All in all, the Zune Marketplace service was just not worth enduring the suckage of the Zune hardware. This is just another example of how technology is being dumbed down for a generation of people who are more concerned with how many colors it comes in and how 'sexy' it is than how much control and functionality it's taking away from you.

Fortunately I found out that there are serveral programs out there that can decrypt the ZM tunes... my favorite being a program called MuvAudio2. Even if you're not into piracy (I'm not either), it's nice to be able to decrypt these songs and play them on whatever you want. I guess it goes without saying, but I have since returned the Zune.

Anyway, I apologize for my long-winded rant. Hopefully the information was useful to some of you out there :)

Great Slim Sleek Player
I took the plunge and bought a Zune and boy is this one fun little device.

The display is very crisp. The user interface is so intuitive that I can't believe it's a Microsoft product. The firmware updates bring free additional features, improvements and games. Wifi sync saves me yet another cable lying around. And for someone who just started working out, the slimmer 16GB works much better than the bulky 30, 80 or 120GB Zunes I see guys have strapped awkwardly to their arms.

With the built-in FM tuner, I get all the channels in the gym. Jumping to the next song is as easy as a simple tap - no need to pull it out and fiddle with it for most functions. The sync interface (Zune software) on the PC is really crisp and doesn't try to install additional browsers or software like a competing product. I'm getting tons of free audio and video podcasts, my own videos and over 1500 of my own songs and am only using half the space.

Minus 1 star for a lack of built-in Equalizer (EQ) or presets - and for the step down in earbud quality from previous models. Even with the lack of an EQ - normally a deal killer for me - the sound was good enough that I really couldn't gripe. After I picked up some JBuds J2 Premium Hi-FI Noise Isolating Earbuds (Black/Chrome Silver), the sound was so good, I didn't even notice the missing EQ.

Haven't used the social features (like trading files, friends lists, etc.) so I can't speak to those. But as a slim, sexy, very small MP3 player, this takes the cake.

Zune 8GB Black
I am very happy with my purchase. I haven't had any problems with this Zune and getting it up and running wasn't very hard. I had downloaded the Zune Software before I got my Zune, so loading songs was simple. I don't use the ear buds that came with the Zune so I couldn't tell you how they sound. My only complaint is that when I hook up my Zune to my computer, I can't play the music off the Zune. May have missed something though. All in all a very good buy.

Customer Reviews

Good wi fi portable thingie, average music player, poor gaming machine
Ok, here is the thing. I never owned Apple's ipod before. As some one that has played with mp3 players way before apple launched the first ipod I have always found a good reason to stay out of shopping one.

So let me start by explaining where I am coming from on this review: I was not looking for a good music player. If you are, then this is not for you. Go and look for a more economic player that will do the job as a music player better than this ( and that is not an ipod nano by the way). I wanted a large display device that could connect to my wifi network to navigate the net and check email, without firing up a laptop. Up to today, There are no devices out there yet that can do this as well and as portable as the ipod touch.

The device connected to the wifi network easily without fuss. the Browser is great. with finger gestures to zoom in and out on areas of interest, makes this unit may favorite to check quicly my emails and browse the internet before I decide that I need to fire my laptop. Playing my music, audible books, and podcast is a plus for an all in one device that fits in my hand.

Good:

- Wifi connectivity. No other mp3 player is as compact as this and can browse the interned with an excellent browser for a portable device.
- Apple Store: I love it. It is well populated with applications and some are free. I got a dictionary, and a game. but there are other things that pick my interest. No need to connect to a computer for this. Just connect to wifi network.
- keeping up with my podcasts without connecting to the laptop is another great thing. Well done.

Average:

- Music player: not a great sounding music player. Apple continues its philosphy that adding a good equalizer will confuse the poor apple sheep. This is not a big deal for podcasts and audible books. But again, if your first need is for a good music player then stay out of this one and do some reasearch on non-apple players. They do it better and you get more features for usually less money.
- Cover flow is just a gimmick. Looks nice in the adds but I ended prefering the old index listing way.
- Itunes: It has become a bloated software. My machine fires up quickly the windows media player when I want to sync my Sansa Fuze. iTunes will not give me an hourglass for a few seconds to let me know that I have double clicked the software to launch it. I have given it the avarage rating because after the program is loaded makes syncing as easy as windows media player (that is right: people that tell you itunes is easier to use than anything else are fanboys and a statement like that should dimiss anything else they have to say)

Bad:

- Gaming machine: I have loaded a game that is a really good time killer, and there are many games in the apple store that I might be tempted to try out. But here is the problem: The battery does not last as much as you would like for a gaming machine. The Playstation Portable has been hammered for its poor battery life compared to nintendo DS, but the Touch runs through the battery much faster. This might be because it has a much lower capacity battery in that slim body than the nintendo DS.
So I am not throwing away my other portable gaming machine.
- iTunes Store: My opinion on this one is basically my preference of opennes. I buy my music from DRM free sites like Amazon ( I should get discount coupon for this plug). Seriously, you want a library that can be moved across non-apple devices as I do, and pay less while you build it up, you should look elsewhere. iTunes is too expensive and that music is locked on an apple device only, unless you go through the trouble of re-ripping your music. I think not, I rather extend the life of my laptop cd player/bruner, I bet it is cheapy anyways so I dont want to stress it out.

What an excellent gadget!
Ive been using my Ipod Touch 2.0 for three weeks now. So far, so very good! I love the applications and the iTunes store. Video and music is 9/10. The games are fun and easy on the memory. Utilities are so novel and useful. And the most important thing: thousands of applications are free. My favorite application is Safari and whoa, connecting to and surfing the internet with my Ipod Touch is simply fast, even FASTER than using my Intel Centrino laptop that has 802.11 b/g. I agree with another reviewer who said that internet connecting and surfing with the Ipod Touch is fast and stable. I connect to the internet thru the Touch's wifi at home (where I have a modem-and-router DSL setup), at work in a UPS store, in my college campus, at Barnes and Noble, Borders, and Starbucks. I can easily connect to protected WPA and WEP networks, so long as I am granted the passkey, as easily as I can connect to public open networks like in the City of Galt. I love the on-screen keypad which is so easy to use. My only gripe is that it does not (yet) open flash content on certain sites, but Im sure that this shortcoming is an update away. Now even my 71-year old dad, who borrows my Touch to surf to his favorite sites like CNN and FoxNews, wants one for his birthday! The Ipod Touch is so easy and fun to use for people of all age groups be they elementary school children, college students, adult employees, and even 70-year olds!

For web browsing and Business Applications it is a no go ...
I got my new I-Touch today and I'm sending it back for a refund. First of all, it only works at WIFI hot spots, wireless routers are a no go. Since I don't go to "hot spots" often, the Internet "access" is useless. The key pad is way to small. Maybe my fingers are too fat, but it is a tedious pain. Finally, and most importantly for me, the applications available, at the "app store" for business receipt tracking have universally mediocre or poor reviews.

Basically, for me, it is a very slick but useless gadget.

I wouldn't buy one except for listening to music or watching tiny movies.

Fun, but not for long
The iPOD touch is fun and has so many cool features and free apps, I am glad I got it as a gift. Oh, and the best part is the quality of the picture is awesome. I love watching videos on this thing. The screen is small. But, we all know that. I can't knock apple for that, it isn't like they are hiding that fact. It works with encrypted wireless networks.I don't know where other reviewers are getting that complaint from. Overall I like my iPOD because of all it can do. However, it has some limitations which make the price ridiculous.

1. The battery power lasts 2-3 hours when using games and many apps. (Lasts long time with music though)

2. The sound is inferior to other iPODS. I have a Nano for music.

3. 8GB for the price is ridiculous. Because you are left with 7 with all the programs it comes with.

4. You have to charge this thing so often, I fear the battery will be destroyed. I am not expecting this thing to last a year at this rate.

5. This goes for all iPODs. I hate the limitations apple puts on music so you can't transfer between Mac/PC and to other MP3's. For what they charge, Apple products should be more useful, not less useful, than other MP3's

Like I said, I am excited because this was a gift. But, I would not buy it with my own money. If you do decide on a touch, it isn't a bad purchase. But splurge on the 16GB at least, it may even be worth it at that price. I admit I have an issue with iPOD's because of apple's policies limiting it's use. But, both of mine were gifts, so who am I to complain too much.

It's a Hit With My 14 Year Old
The IPod Touch is the only thing my son wanted for Christmas. I ordered one from Amazon because it was the best price I could find and I know they deliver quickly.
We went on a road trip right after Christmas and the IPod was a fun gadget that kept my son entertained for many hours. Even after returning home, he carries it with him almost everywhere.
We bought the 2nd generation 16 GB because it was a good price and had enough memory to provide for my son's expectations as well as being able to add on more games, videos, and music.

K.I.S = Keep It Simple

Customer Reviews

Best earphones I've ever owned.... until they stopped working. -_-
I've been through about 0 worth of head/earphones at this point in my life and I have to admit that these are the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, they're probably also in the list of one of the quickest ones to break. While I do admit that I probably use earphones not in the most common way that they would be used... like for example sleeping with them on and letting them fall to the floor and not picking them up until I need to use them again... these stopped working when I was doing none of that (not that I didn't do those things while they were alive, mind you). They were on my night table, had been there for a couple of days and it was late at night so I had to use them. Picked them up and WAM! Left earphone didn't work. GRR! Right now I'm using a tape to be able to listen through both sides.

I did notice that the high levels bass on these, so if you REALLY don't like that you definitely need not apply. However, I used these to listen to movies, music, etc. on my laptop and/or with my MP3 player, I thought the bass was quite nice. I usually don't use bass if there's an option to turn it on or off, but these definitely did not make my enjoyment of music, etc. less pleasant. These are also really good for canceling out noise, which is something I like. Oh and I guess it should be noted that when I plugged these into my laptop at full volume, they really blasted out the music really high. So you might be careful before wearing them and the device you're using them with being at full volume. Might make you deaf from what I can tell.

All in all, my only quibble with it is their very short durability and this is a big issue with me as I tend to buy new headphones every other month. They offered great sound, nice bass and they were quite cheap too. So unless you're very careful when using these, I wouldn't even begin to recommend them.

Decent headphones for the price
Amazon was selling these for . That's a great deal. They're definately worth that. I'm not so sure they're worth their list price though. They're cheap looking and feeling, and I see there are some complaints about durability. They're fairly comfortable for earbuds, though.

But in headphones, all that matters is sound. These produce a good amount of bass, as their name implies. So if you care about bass more than clarity, as many younger listeners (or less appreciative music listeners) do, these might be it, and at a great price point. However, the overall impression I got from them was muddy and loud. Certainly an improvement over the headphones that ship with pretty much any MP3 player or phone. However, they don't project music accurately. I've read reviews saying these things sound amazing. They don't. They sound good for the price.

I decided to spend a little more money and purchase a pair of Sennheiser HD-280 Pro which I LOVE. I still have these to keep in my coat pocket in case I feel like listening on the run.

Buy them if your budget is -50. They're worth it. But don't expect the hype that a lot of people are putting behind these. And expect big boomy bass.

THESE BREAK
As many have written: great fit and sound (heavy on the bass). But they break easily. I have been through three - yes, three - pair. One thing to say is that they are true to their warranty, as each time I have dutifully sent them in and received a new pair. Which, like clockwork, breaks two months later.

Save yourself the hassle and get a pair of Audio Technicas.

Thumbs up
These earbuds are ideal for running, going to the gym, or listening to your iPod on the subway. They are 'noise-isolating' (not '-canceling') -- stick a finger in each ear to get an idea. The bass frequencies in your environmental noise naturally have the greatest leakage, so the 'bass enhancement' on these 'phones actually seems to improve the overall isolation.

Playing bass-heavy electronic music at 60% iPod volume completely eliminates the sound of the NY subway. I was looking the other way at the platform and the (1)-train pulled up without me noticing. I've used 'em on airplanes and buses too - blocks the engine noise and all the colicky babies' crying. They work very well in the library too, since noise doesn't leak out and disturb others.

A price-tag places these in the 'disposable' category (i.e., you aren't going to use these to remaster classical music recordings). However, I'm satisfied with the sound quality and I love the intensity of the bass. These are BIG step up from the pathetic Coby and SkullCandy brand earbuds as well as the meek white iPod earbuds that break in half after 10 hours of use. They seem pretty durable: I've dropped them in a puddle and walked over them with ski boots and they still work fine.

Bottom line: if you are on a budget and need a pair of headphones for the gym or on-the-go, these are a great choice. And if you listen to bass-heavy music, these are *the* best choice.

Long-time owner- excellent buds.
To start off, I must say that anyone who has had quality issues or fitting issues are simply unlucky. I've used these buds for over two years and have abused these buds more than I would any other set. At first, I had these buds and was disappointed in how they fit. Then I tried some other size tips (they have three sizes) and I ended up finding the right one. They are extremely comfortable and are great noise isolators. If you have them on, it's unlikely that anyone will be able to guess what you're listening to even at higher volumes. As for the bass, they are great. If your player has an adjustable equalizer, I'd suggest increasing the lowest frequency up a bit to even things out. It seems to have a roll off around 25hz, which is significantly lower than any Bose system could go by the way. These can hit around 14hz when you have it cranked enough. I paid retail for these when they came out (over ) and I still think they were a good choice. These don't have that great of soundstaging (you can pin-point where certain instruments are and where the singer is located at) but you shouldn't expect any earbuds to do that really at any price point. I've used these in the rain, I've dropped them in the sand, and I've used them when exercising. They are durable, sound great, and are comfortable. The only things you need to worry about are choosing the right size tips, putting them in your ears properly(they do go pretty far in your ears), and choosing proper equalizer settings. If you're the kind of person who tends to snag, cut, tangle, find the wire too long, or otherwise damage the thin wire, you may want to use the included headphone wire wrap that is extremely useful and easy to use. For the money, you can't go wrong.

Customer Reviews

They are okay... not for loud listening.
Hey there Amazoners!

Just a quick note about these headphones... if you love listening to music like I do and want to listen to it loud, don't buy these headphones! They have good base to them but even with my Zune plugged into it that usually pushes out good load sound with crappy headphones, these head phones did not. Hope this helped!

Really nice for the price
I bought these after reading some of the many reviews and I must say that I am very happy with them. I also have a pair of Sennheiser EH-150 Evolution Hi-Fi Stereo Headphones and I like these better. They are more comfortable than the EH-150s. I am able to wear them for several hours without any discomfort. The sound quality is really good. In fact it is excellent when you think about it in relation to the price of these headphones. They are a real bargain.

owned for two years now and still going strong
2 years old and still working great. Tweak your sound card and they will be plenty loud. Sure there is better out there, but not for the money. I have beat these headphones like they owed me money and they still work great. Would buy again if they still make them when mine wear out... if they ever do.

Are Pepsi and Amazon screwing us????????
Ordered through Pepsi Stuff promotion. The headphones arrived defective/damaged. One side wire was broken. Guess what? No returns or exchanges on Pepsi Stuff prizes. Seems like this is a scam to give away damaged merchandise. I read the Pepsi t-shirt reviews and apparently they suck. way too small.

amazing!
For the price, these are amazingly good headphones. They were purchased for my husband, who has been a musician but is now deaf. Because these cover the ear and there is no outside interference, he can now listen to his favorite tapes and CDs again.

Customer Reviews

great, but be careful
These worked great for me, but unfortunately the soft ear pieces often came off. Most of the time I found where they fell, but this last time it fell off somewhere when I was traveling (I even knew exactly WHEN it fell, just could not find it at all). Since I don't think they sell those pieces separately, I have to buy another pair just because of this, which is ridiculous.

Not that Good
Compared to original Apple ear buds, loss of volume & they don't fit in your ear as well as Apple ear buds. They replaced my product when it went bad, and gave me a free case. Its amazing how fast they took care of my problem. I'll be wearing their products for a long time to come.

Oh yeah, I'm no expert music listener, but I notice a lot more detail in my music. They are very comfortable, and great for wearing in the gym as they hardly ever fall out of my hear. Thumbs up.

Dead after 2 months
I bought these to replace a pair of Creative EP-630s. These were slightly more comfortable, but did not provide as good sound isolation or sound quality as the Creatives did. However, that was not the worst part. I received the shipment on Nov. 7, and they were dead by Dec. 24. The wire tore just above the plug, apparently because I had wrapped them around my mp3 player. I only paid , but these headphones are not worth that let alone the nearly amazon is asking now.

Not for me
I was unable to keep the ear buds in my ear at the office desk and out on the trail. The ear bud sleeves would not form to my ear canal and fall out with the smallest head tilt. After a few tries, I returned the ear buds and got my money back.

Customer Reviews

The best one the I've found
I've tried many that have had the low volume and constant static, and this one has been great. I've had no problems whatsoever with this one!

Works fine, but doesn't charge the iPod Touch
This transmitter works great, but the placement leads you to believe that this will also charge your iPod. It doesn't charge the iPod Touch, rather disappointing.

Very poor
WARNING - WILL NOT CHARGE THE NEW IPOD TOUCH.

Beyond that, lots of scratchy noise and static, regardless of the station setting.

Great sound for the price.
I have had trouble with so many other brands of iPod fm transmitters. The Griffin models, in particular this one, have been excellent. It's durable and it provides high-quality sound. I have had more expensive brand models that were horrible (Belkin). This is a great deal for a transmitter AND charger.

If you live in a big city and have trouble finding good fm stations to use, try removing the arial from your vehicle. It means you won't be able to switch between the radio and your iPod, but your iPod transmitter will work much better.

Great product
This product came right away and on time. I purchased it as a gift for my brother because he was always borrowing mine. The newer models are so much more expensive and are not compatable with his older 2nd gen ipod nano, so it worked out great. I recommend this product over the wireless version, it's a crisper, clearer sound.

Customer Reviews

Great Feel
I bought the street version of these headphones around the holidays on sale for about . I couldn't be more satisfied. Most headphones fall out of my ears even when I'm completely stationary, but these stay anchored very well. They sound great and are comfortable. Best headphones I've ever purchased, and for a great price. 5/5

Cool idea, too big
I bought these earbugs with the intention of using them for running, but never got the chance, because I couldn't even get them in my ears without jamming them in, which was painful. I did like the look, and the little knobby peice that gives the twist-to-fit feature probably works for most all men and 80% of women, but those with smaller ears might want to think twice. For the minute or so I did get them in, they did sound good.

they stay in my ear
I've had better sounding buds but for the money they are ok. Do stay in my ear and that is a big plus. There cheap what else could you want for your gym bag.

Excellent Product
I went through several different brands of sport headphones before finally getting these, and these are by far the best. These are the only ones that consistently stay in my ears. They sound great too. I bought mine for and am very pleased with the purchase, and they have held up for over a year of intense workouts at least twice a week. They do slightly hurt your ear, so it's good to have other more comfortable earphones for when you are sitting still and not concerned about them falling out, but as far as sports headphones go - these are by far the best.

Great fitting earphones
I have been looking for several months for a pair of earphones that fit and stay in my ears. These were the first pair that I found that had an excellent fit without hurting my ears or falling out. At first look they would appear to bother your ears as the size looks big. I am happy to say that this is not the case with these earphones. They offer a nice fit without going into the ear canal. The sound quality is excellent when compared to other earphones in this price range. I ended up buying a second pair since they were just each pair. You can't go wrong with this pair of earphones and your ears will thank you.
